When I lived in Boston (for College), I used to hit up the Forever 21 on Newbury street every single week. I worked retail at a clothing boutique at the time, but LOVED going to Forever. It was my go-to store for grabbing a “weekend outfit” at a much more affordable price, and in college I basically had to save all my dollars from the week to snag my outfit.
Thankfully since then, online shopping has become pretty much the only way to shop, making my search for affordable transition pieces Β a little easier, and way more efficient.
I was reminiscing about the college days (wow, how old do I sound?) with some girlfriends who are coming to Austin for a wedding, and I decided to pop over to forever21.comΒ and see what I could find. I was pleasantly surprised by how many cute things I found! I also found a ton of items that reminded me of more pricey pieces that I already own. It’s basically a look for less situationβ like this dress, that reminds me so much of the Rails one I shared and styled two ways a few weeks back. You guys LOVED that dress – it was a best seller for me, so when I saw this forever piece at a fraction of the cost it became a must buy. I was also very impressed with these jeans for the price! They are super soft and run true to size. I paired the jeans with this key-hole sweater which is a perfect transition piece into fall, when you’re not quite ready for a cable knit.

1. Black Floral Dress – I am normally an XS/Small and the small was tight, so I recommend sizing up for sure in this.
2. Jeans – TTS. I ordered up one size since reviews said they run small, but I could have gotten away with my usual size 25.
3. White sweater – TTS. Ordered a Small and it was perfect.
