Happy Thursday, y’all! I’m heading to the beach bright and early tomorrow morning for little getaway and I couldn’t be more excited! With packing on my mind, I thought it would be the perfect time to share a few beach beauty must-have’s. When I think of beach trip beauty, I think effortless. I think tan, bronzed, glowy skin and of course mermaid hair. These are all products that enhance that nautral beachy glow that we all strive for on vacation!
#1 / Caudalíe Beauty Elixer
First things first, let’s start with the plane ride. There’s nothing that dries your skin out like flying 40,000 feet in the air. I always throw this little baby in my bag and spray it on my face during the flight. It’s super refreshing and instantly hydrates and wakes up my skin! It’s also perfect to keep in your bag for school or work when you need little afternoon pick me up. Tip – make sure you get the 1 oz. travel size so it’s easy to tote around!
#2 / Supergoop! Everyday Sunscreen
The biggest must-have on every beach vaca pack list, sunscreen. If you guys have been following me for a while then you know how big I am on protecting your skin, skincare and anti-aging (an anti-aging in your 20’s post coming soon)! If you’re new here (hi!), sunscreen is a total must. My motto: It’s ok if your face is lighter than your body, a little bronzer will even everything out! It’s always best if you can keep your face out of the sun and avoid aging your skin as long as possible! I really like this one by Supergoop!
#3 / Pure grace summer shimmering dry body oil
Say hello to J.LO in a bottle! This shimmering dry body oil is ah-mazing. I like to spray it on my legs, chest and arms when I’m going out after a day in the sun! It has a very very subtle gold shimmer in it that just gives your skin the most beautiful glistening, golden glow! Oh and bonus, it smells amazing. 🙂 It’s limited edition and goes quick, so if you want it, I’d order it asap.
#4 / Kate Somerville Illumikate CC Cream
This is hands down my favorite CC/BB cream that I’ve tried. I’ve used it for years! Alex and I honeymooned in Paris (eee!). We spent most of our time exploring the amazing city and I wore this CC cream every single day! It has SPF 30 and looks beautiful on the skin (also looks great in photos). For reference, I’m shade light-medium. It works perfect of my olive/tan complexion in the spring-summer. The shades are a little misleading so hopefully you can use that as a guide!
#5 / Dr. Perricone MD No Bronzer Bronzer SPF 30
This liquid bronzer is everything! It just melts into the skin, looks so natural and adds the most beautiful warmth. I try so many beauty products that when I finish something and repurchase, it’s a big deal – I love this so much that I’m on my second bottle! I also love the fact that it has SPF 30, perfect for the beach days or days when you know you’ll be spending time in the sun! I like to start with the Kate Somerville CC Cream and then bronze up my skin with the “No Bronzer Bronzer”, but it also looks beautiful with just sunscreen and no bb or foundation underneath.
#6 / Benefit Watt’s Up!
What beach look would be complete without a little glow?! I love using either a cream or liquid highlighter for fun in the sun, because it looks the most natural! Creams and liquids allow us to create a really natural look without all of the powder that can tend to look more obvious. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good full face of makeup, but when it comes to beach beauty, natural, bronzed and glowy is the name of the game. Think Gigi Hadid skin! Let’s be real, who doesn’t want that?! Benefit Watt’s Up is a game changer. It’s a gorgeous champagne highlight that gives the best glowing from within look! I also love this product on days when I want a full glam – I use it as a base highlight and top it off with a powder for a little extra ‘night out’ glow.
#7 / Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara
A good waterproof mascara is a must! I just picked this one up for the trip, but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. I’ll keep you posted on my Snap – CourtShields87.
#8 / Dior Addict Lip Glow
This is one of the most repurchased products in my whole makeup collection and a complete staple for me. I think this is my 4th or 5th tube! It’s the perfect lippie to keep if your bag (for the plane, beach, everyday) so you can throw it on whenever! Fair warning, I’m about to be a beauty nerd for a minute: It actually has technology in it that reacts with your body temperature and turn the perfect/custom shade of pink for you! It’s really hydrating, brightens up the face, goes with everything and looks a little different on everyone – so cool, right?!
#9 / Oribe Après Beach Wave and Shine Hairspray
Beach waves are an essential part to any effortless beach vacation look! If you read my Hair-Care Routine post from Monday, then you know how obsessed I am with Oribe. This line is the bomb! I have fallen in love with every product that I’ve used. The Abrés Beach Wave spray adds a ton of volume and texture to your hair with adding in that sticky salting feeling that a lot of sea-salt sprays have!
