Personally, summer is all about creating an effortless beauty routine. Not only do I prefer the “less is more” look for warmer months, but I especially love how condensing my routine saves me time! It also makes traveling that much easier, which is a major plus in my book.
While strolling through Nordstrom a few weeks ago, I found three unique products that have made simplifying my routine a breeze. I’ve quickly become obsessed with these products because they serve multiple purposes, last all day, and look amazing on your skin! I’ve been using each of these beauties daily and am excited to share them with you guys!
1 // My first obsession is this cream palette. Each week, I sample and review quite a few products for you guys, so it’s very rare that you’ll hear me say you need a product – but you need this! It’s THAT good. I really can’t say enough good things about this baby! The formula is perfection, the colors are spot on, and it’s a three-in-one product (which makes getting ready even easier!) After I’ve applied my base (which has been a tinted moisturizer lately), I go in with the bronze shade. It’s really neutral so you can use it to contour or just bronze up the skin, depending on your preference! I’ve tried applying this product with a brush, a beauty blender, and my fingers. All three work like a dream. Once the bronze shade is blended in, I jump to the highlight shade and apply that to all of the high-points of my face: the tops of my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, above my brow, and right underneath my brow. I love applying this (and the blush) with my fingers because the extra warmth helps melt the product into my skin, creating the most beautiful synergy between my skin and the products. This helps everything look really natural. Lastly, I smile and dab the peachy shade to the apples of my cheeks, blending everything together in one seamless look. If you have oily skin, you can still use this product, I’d just recommend lightly setting everything with this translucent powder! I’ve raved about it before – it’s pricey, but worth every penny in my opinion. If you do set the creams, make sure that you avoid setting the highlight because that will defeat the purpose.
2 // The second effortless must-have is this Shimmer Bloc in the shade “peach mosaic”. I use this beauty a few ways: the first (and most obvious) is on my cheeks/face. I swirl my brush in all four colors and dust it on my cheeks, on my forehead, and a tiny swish over my nose. This is the most gorgeous shimmery powder (no glitter) that adds a perfect glow-y, sun-kissed look to the skin! I love adding a little to my nose to really enhance that “I’ve just been in the sun” look. The second way I like to use this shimmer bloc is as an eye-shadow! Fun fact, I packed no eye-shadows for our trip to Vermont and just used this. The colors are so beautiful. If you’ve been following me for a while then you know that using face products on the eyes is a favorite trick of mine. This is the only eye-shadow I have on in the photos above, if you want to see it in action! 🙂
3 // Lastly, I’ve been reaching for this tinted lip balm in shade “petal” like crazy. These have been a long-time favorite of mine because they hydrate my lips (always a priority for me), while adding color! As I said, my current favorite is the shade “petal“. This shade adds just the right amount of rosy goodness to my lips, giving them definition without looking overdone.
Incorporating these three products into my everyday routine has totally revolutionized everything and made getting ready so much quicker! I recommend hopping over to Nordstrom.com because the free shipping is amazing and you can grab all three products in one spot.
On another unrelated note, how cute is this lemon print scarf?! I believe it just sold out, but I’m also obsessed with this peach one and wore it a ton in Vermont! If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ve probably seen me wearing scarfs on my head like crazy lately. I love the summery, vintage feel! I’ve been doing this for years and originally got the idea from looking at old photos of my mom when she was in her twenties :).
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post, all opinions are, of course, my own.
