#GIRLBOSS TIPS

Lately, I’ve been feeling like there just aren’t enough hours in the day! Anyone else? On weeks like these, it’s so easy to get overwhelmed and pretty hard not do. So, I figured now would be the perfect time to share what I like to call my #girlboss tips. These are things I’ve learned along the way that help me get ish done while remaining sane and stress-free. Win, win!

1. Clean house, clean mind

Easier said than done, I know! But, when things are organized, it’s so much easier to focus and get things done.

2. Wakeup and makeup

On busy days, you don’t need a full/glam face of makeup of course, but a little something always helps me feel awake, alive and ready to tackle my to-do list. This is especially helpful if you work from home like I do!

3. Make a list

From a young age my Mom always taught me the importance of making a to-do list and now I LOVE them. Nerd alert! But really, I love them for a few reasons: 1. When you write everything down, you’re giving yourself less things to remember! i.e. freeing up space to get more done! Always a win on days like these. 2. There’s something so nice about checking things off the list. It always helps me feel like I am accomplishing things, even on the busiest of days! 3. Efficiency – You don’t waste time trying to think of what you have to do next, because it’s already written down.

4. Quality ‘you time’

Take a bit of time for yourself. This could be morning coffee, a workout, hot bath, reading your favorite blog ;), whatever makes you feel relaxed for a few minutes. It’s amazing what a little time to yourself can do. Even if it’s 15 minutes! I always think about the airplane motto, “Put your air mask on first, and then help others”. Ya feel?

5. Be.

Instead of worrying about the next three things on the list, just focus on accomplishing the task at hand. This could be the most difficult of all, but try and be in the moment. I really strive to do this in all aspects of life, but in chaos especially.
